PIVOT…PIVOT! 3 Things that Indicate it’s Time for You to Pivot Your Brand

Filed in Uncategorized — February 12, 2026

How do you know when it’s time to pivot your brand? This is a big question that many of us face and it’s important to know whether or not we should pivot, and how to go about pivoting in a way that remains loyal and trusting to our clients and followers.

In this blog, we’ll share 3 things that indicate it’s time for you to pivot! If any of these resonate with you, don’t be afraid to make some changes in your business or brand. While it may be scary to change course, it’s crucial that you stay true to yourself, your passion, and your personal journey. After all, authenticity wins time and time again in today’s world—and the last thing you want to be is uninspired, burnt out, and simply going through the motions.

So, are you ready to pivot? If these 3 things resonate with you, then it may be time for you to pivot your brand.

1. The Passion Is Gone

Like any good relationship, passion ebbs and flows in your relationship with the work that you do. It requires work to keep the momentum in your business going, and the reality is that sometimes we just don’t feel passionate about what we do. However, just because every so often you have a day where you’re just not feeling it, this does not necessarily mean you need to give up your career for good.

How do you know when your passion needs some rekindling, or if the passion is gone for good? For starters, are you making enough time for creativity? When you allow yourself time and space for creative work, then you may be reminded of why you love what you do. On the other hand, you may discover that with your free time, you’re now drawn to something different. Give yourself permission to lean into what it is that is calling upon your heart. This may be a sign of what you want to pivot to.

The best piece of advice we can offer is this—never quit on a bad day. If you have a great day of work and you still don’t feel passionate, then you can quit with a clear conscience. Be sure to recognize anything going on in your life outside of work that may be causing negative feelings too. When you’re self-aware, you’ll make the best and most authentic decision for YOU.

Remember, we all grow, evolve, and change. You are not meant to be one thing or one job title. You are a multi passionate and multifaceted human being, and it’s OKAY to pivot and try something new.

2. You’re Not Bringing In Profit

We’ve all heard the phrase, fake it ‘til you make it! While this is encouraging when you’re first starting out, we can’t rely on this mentality forever. After all, if you’re not making a profit, then you’re not exactly a business. You put in a lot of hard work, and you should be paid for what you’re putting out there!

Do a simple profit and loss analysis of your business and get real with yourself about how you’re doing and how you’d like to improve your profit. Do you really want to grind and work yourself into the ground doing what you’re doing and make what you’re making? Or is there something else you could be doing or offering that would increase your revenue?

Pivoting doesn’t have to mean you’re changing the direction of your business, but it could mean you’re getting smarter within the business you’re already running. With this in mind, pivoting could mean raising your rates, cutting expenses, or offering a new product or service.

If no one is responding to your offers and no matter how hard you try, you can’t sell anything, then your concept just isn’t working. Rather than pivot your business entirely, think about how you could pivot your messaging or strategy.

 3. Your Vision, Life Or Lifestyle Is Not Aligned

As we mentioned before, we are human beings prone to growing and evolving. It is important to remain aligned with who you are and what values you hold. If your vision, life or lifestyle is no longer aligned with your business, then it may be time to pivot.

Take a look at your life and make a list of things that don’t make you happy or don’t really work for your current circumstances. It may even be helpful to write down your 3, 5, or 10 year vision to get clear about where you want to be and what you need to do to get there. Your future vision for yourself may look vastly different than where you’re currently headed.

We’ll leave you with this—build a business that supports your life, not a business that IS your life.
